 지금까지 여러 번 TOEFL iBT시험에서 영작문만이 아니라 전반적으로 더 높은 점수를 얻기 위한 방법들을 소개하였고 이러한 방식으로 공부하고 따라온 학생들은 좋은 점수를 받았으리라 생각한다.
토플시험에서 고득점을 받기 위하여 다음의 10가지 핵심을 열심히 연습하기 바란다.
자세한 설명은 이전 호들을 참고하기 바라며 다음에 간단히 소개하고자 한다.
다음의 10가지 핵심들은 모든 TOEFL iBT 시험을 앞둔 독자들이 그 중요성을 공감하고는 있지만 쉽게 간과하고 지나쳐 버릴 수 있는 것들이다.
하지만 TOEFL iBT 시험을 대비한 중요한 핵심들이므로 독자들이 필히 읽고 고득점을 위한 초석으로 삼았으면 한다.
1.영어의 기본 지식 (문법， 어휘 등)을 향상 시켜라.
2.TOEFL iBT 시험에 대하여 가능한 한 많은 정보를 습득하라.
3.시험 대비를 위한 시간을 할애하여 공부하라.
4.시험 당일을 위하여 육체적으로 최상의 상태를 만들어라.
5.실제 컴퓨터를 이용하여 공부하고 연습하라.
6.시험 형식 (format)과 풀이방식 (direction)에 대하여 친숙해져라.
7.시험 며칠 전부터 공부 계획을 세워라.
8.시험 중 시간을 잘 분배하여 사용하라.

10.시험 걱정과 싸워 이겨라.

When I travel with a friend，my routine is predictable.
We maintain the same schedule that we do at home.
When I travel alone, I adopt the rhythm of the place I visit.
I might take a nap in the afternoon and eat dinner at 11pm. I might go to disco and dance all night.
When I travel with a friend，we know how we will react to things.
When I travel alone，each new experience requires a new reaction.
If I don't try new things, I won't be able to decide if I like something or not.
Shall I ride an ostrich or eat one？
I think it is always important to do things on your own.
You can find new friends，collect new memories，and adopt different ways of doing things.
Isn't that the point of travel？

혼자 여행하는 것이 진정한 여행이다.
만약 당신이 누군가와 함께 여행을 간다면 집을 데리고 가는 것과 같을 것이다.
혼자 여행할 때，새로운 사람들을 만나고 새로운 경험을 하게 되고，스스로에 대하여 더 잘 알게 될 것이다.
친구와 같이 여행을 가면 모든 나의 시간은 친구와 함께 사용된다.
우리는 같이 먹고 같이 구경하게 된다.
혼자 여행하게 된다면，새로운 친구들을 만나기 위해 시간을 사용할 것이다.
혼자 여행하는 것이 여행객이나 지역사람들을 만나기 쉬우며 같이 식사를 하거나 커피를 마실 기회가 생길 것이다. 처음 만나는 사람과 같이 식사를 한다면 우리는 친구가 되는 것이다.
친구와 같이 여행을 가면 예정된 계획대로 움직일 것이다.
우리는 떠나기 전 집에서 세운 계획대로 여행을 유지하게 된다.
혼자 여행하게 된다면，내가 방문하는 곳의 환경에 맞게 적응하게 된다.
오후에 낮잠을 자거나 밤 11시에 저녁을 먹을 지도 모른다.
디스코에 가서 밤새도록 춤을 출지도 모른다.
친구와 같이 여행을 가면 우리는 발생되는 일들에 어떻게 행동할 지를 알고 있다.
혼자 여행을 가면，각각의 새로운 경험에 대하여 새로운 행동이 요구된다.
만약 내가 새로운 것을 시도하지 않는다면，내가 무엇을 좋아하고 싫어하는 지를 결정할 수 없을 것이다.
타조를 한번 타볼 것인가 아니면 타조고기를 먹어볼 것인가？
자신 스스로 어떤 것들을 해 나가는 것은 항상 매우 중요하다고 생각한다.
새로운 친구를 찾을 수 있고，새로운 추억을 만들고，새로운 방식에 적응하게 된다.
여행의 목적이 이러한 것이 아닐까？
